hii, i’m ems, the owner of exile entomology.

i started this as a collector myself. i’ve always been drawn to things that feel a lil different and unique, and i quickly fell in love with the art of preserving specimens. it fascinates me, and being able to turn them into something that can be kept and appreciated makes me value them even more.

i’ve explored a lot of different art forms over the years, like drawing, painting, clay, and jewellery making, but my style has always leaned more toward darker, gothic themes. i’ve been obsessed with anything eerie since i was a kid, so this felt like a really natural path for me.

i’m only just starting with butterflies, spiders and centipedes. so many of my pieces are not ‘perfect’ but i’m learning more with each piece i do and i can’t wait to see my improvement over the next few months and years.

outside of this, i love being in nature, going for hikes or to the beach, and just creating in general.

everything here is made with care and a major appreciation for the specimens. they’re jus lil babys after all ⠀
